Pods are typically constructed using stud walls, light gauge steel (LGS), external cladding, windows, and doors to protect the structure from weather conditions. Internal cladding can be made from various materials such as plaster, vinyl, timber ply, and more.
  • What is called a "tiny house"?
    The term "tiny house" typically refers to a compact and often mobile dwelling that is designed to maximize space efficiency. It is usually smaller than traditional homes and is a minimalist living arrangement.
  • What is the standard workflow for custom home construction?
    The standard workflow for custom home construction at M-Modular includes the following stages: Understanding and Quoting Design and Approval Site Measurement Check and Production Delivery and Installation The total lead time is approximately 3 weeks.
  • What is the process for obtaining an Easy-frame?
    Easy-frames can be obtained in two ways: For standard designs, you can click, pay, and pick up at the factory or request delivery. Frames are ready in 48 hours. For custom designs, pre-order on the store, request a variation, and go through the quoting, design, production, and pick-up or delivery process. Frames are ready in one week.
  • What is the lead time for prefab individual components?
    Prefab individual components, such as walls and trusses, have a lead time of 48 hours. This includes dimensions and loads input, design and approval, production, and delivery or pick-up.
  • What is the lead time for a volumetric module?
    Volumetric modules, whether fully finished or frame and cladding with a window package, have a lead time of approximately 4 weeks. This includes pre-ordering, variation requests, quoting, design, production, and delivery and installation.
  • Why should I choose Truecore steel, and what are its benefits?
    Truecore steel offers many great benefits, including durability, resistance to corrosion, and suitability for various environments, and terrmite proof. It is a quality material for building frames.
  • How long does a light gauge steel frame last?
    Light gauge steel frames are known for their durability and can have a long lifespan. The exact duration can vary based on factors like maintenance and environmental conditions.
  • Can a light gauge steel frame resist coastal environments?
    Light gauge steel frames are suitable for coastal environments due to their resistance to corrosion. However, specific design considerations may be necessary. Consult with professionals for detailed guidance.
  • What is the environmental impact of using steel framing?
    Steel framing is environmentally friendly as it is recyclable, energy-efficient, and has a lower carbon footprint compared to some other materials. It contributes to sustainable construction.
  • Can mold grow on steel studs?

  • How big a premise requires a permit, and when does it require a planning permit?
    In accordance with Australian Building Laws, premises may require a permit based on the following criteria: If the building is classified as a Class 10a structure (e.g., sheds, carports, private garages). The exemption from a building permit applies if the building meets the following conditions: It has a floor area not exceeding 10 m². It is not more than 3 m in height, or if within 1 m of a boundary, no more than 2.4 m in height. If attached to another building of a different class on the same property, it must not extend beyond the front wall of that building. If not attached to any other building, it must be the only Class 10a building on the property and be set back at least 9 m from the front street alignment and 2 m from each side street alignment. It should not be constructed of masonry.
